Concur, which provides integrated travel and expense management solutions, launched its preferred programme in the US last year. Since then, the scheme has grown to include 23 travel management companies (TMCs).

The programme is now expanding into Europe and Concur has appointed Chambers, which has offices in the UK, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland, as its preferred partner in the region in recognition of its "commitment to the future of smart business travel". This includes use of Concur’s TripLink solution, which captures and centralises all business travel data for flights, hotel and ground transportation.

Isabel Montesdeoca, Concur’s senior vice president and general manager for UK enterprise, said. "We’re changing the game for the travel industry and recognise that TMCs like Chambers are driving the industry forward.

"Chambers shares Concur’s vision for the future of smart business travel and how digitalisation can perfect the business travel experience. A large number of businesses and employees have advanced technological capabilities in other aspects of their lives and they’ll come to expect it from business travel management as well."

Chris Thelen, CEO, Chambers Travel Group, said: "We have long been committed to integrating a personalised service with innovative technology to deliver simple travel management processes for our clients. We are delighted to join this programme as a Concur Preferred Partner in Europe, at a time when our customers are facing increased pressure to cater to employee demand. Concur TripLink gives travellers the freedom to book as they wish but also gives our clients the visibility to manage both duty-of-care needs and travel budgets."
