The event, which took place last night (12 November), featured ten of London’s academic venues and also included a keynote speech by Fay Sharpe, founder shareholder at agency Zibrant, alongside networking with the member venues.

George Foden, head of events for QMUL’s venue and hospitality brand, Events & Hospitality QM, said: ‘The opportunity to place over 70 event professionals in our signature venue is a fantastic opportunity to show the facilities we have to offer the events market. The VML Showcase allows academic venues like ourselves to make a statement of intent that we are serious players in the events industry and that academic venues in London can provide a unique and great value solution for event planners."

Events & Hospitality QM offers more than 100 venues at the Mile End campus of Queen Mary, alongside venues in the City of London and at Whitechapel.
