Smith, who joins from Geometry Global, will oversee creative output for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
He will work primarily with global energy client Shell, while offering local support to Imagination’s other global relationships, including GE and Jaguar Land Rover, and focusing on the increasing demand from local clients.
Smith’s career in the Middle East started in Dubai in 2007 when he was recruited from London to set up OgilvyAction in the MENA region. He has created campaigns for blue-chip brands across all sectors including Coca-Cola, GSK, Unilever, McDonald’s, Mars and Diageo.
