Titanic Quarter Belfast: plans for casino and luxury hotel

Titanic Quarter chief executive David Gavaghan has revealed ambitious plans for the waterfront development.

In an interview published in the Belfast Telegraph this week, Gavaghan revealed that the chairman of Titanic Belfast, Pat Doherty, hoped to launch a luxury boutique hotel on the site. If his plans go ahead, Gavaghan added that the hotel would have 'Titanic' in its title, and would be a luxury boutique property with 84 rooms.

The idea of a casino has also been mooted in recent months, but political opposition to the move will need to be overcome, and a licence granted for a casino in Northern Ireland.
