The 1,000-seat space was unveiled to 200 buyers and industry stakeholders at an opening event on Monday (10 November), following its £4.5m redevelopment.
Original heritage features including wood panelling and large windows have been kept, while new features including a vaulted roof have been installed to make it more contemporary.
Other new additions include a five-metre-wide projection screen, new PA system, LED lighting and the opportunity to broadcast events live online through the venue’s video system. A new lift has also been installed, meaning disabled guests will not be restricted to the ground floor.
Situated opposite Euston Station, the venue is home to the central offices of Quakers in Britain. Revenue generated from Friends House and The Light will support life-changing work carried out by the Quakers.
