The event will bring together Media 10's newly acquired Build Show and successful Grand Designs Live exhibition, along with seven other related events to showcase the full spectrum of construction industry sectors under one roof.

The organiser is expecting to attract 50,000 trade attendees, making it the most significant event in construction for decades.

UK Construction Week has already generated support from the Government and a raft of industry associations, and aims to increase productivity and profit in the sector, which employs 2.2 million people in the UK.

Each of the nine events will retain its own feature areas, but will be supplemented by new additional content including show homes, live building areas, skills workshops and heavy plant demos.

Media 10’s CEO Lee Newton said: "For the first time Media 10 is able to combine our experience and leading events to create the strongest trade event the building and construction industry has ever seen.

"We already attract more architects, designers and specifiers to our events than any other organiser through 100% Design, Clerkenwell Design Week and Grand Designs Live. Therefore this event is perfect for Media 10 as we believe we are the only company that is capable of delivering such a large and ambitious project," he added.
