The event kicked off with a Champagne reception, followed by dinner and the awards ceremony where TV presenter Mariella Frostrup handed out 20 well-deserved gongs, after which the celebrations began in earnest.

Champagne corks popped aplenty as the 450-strong crowd of key C&I players took to the dancefloor and threw some impressive shapes - including a giant conga line - to music by The Lionels.

The hashtag #citawards trended top on UK Twitter and the CrowdScreen technology installed at the event was also extremely popular, attracting 415 users, who created 734 pieces of media, and 1,642 interactions.

Zibrant LIVE was awarded the coveted Grand Prix Award for its Namibia incentive for BMW while drp and BrandFuel both picked up three awards each.

The awards recognised the best industry suppliers and events for top brands including Google, JCB, Sainsbury's, Toyota, Siemens, AstraZeneca, Tata Consultancy Services and DFS.
