Live Union produced an interactive hybrid event to launch Unite Students' new brand mission, 'Home for Success', simultaneously to 1,000 employees around the UK who were unable to travel long distances.

A central hub was set up in Bristol, Unite's headquarters, and five satellite venues were selected around the country in London, Manchester, Warwick, Leeds and Stirling.

The budget precluded using a satellite or video conferencing bridge, so Live Union combined other technologies in an innovative fashion. Web-streaming technology was used to link the six venues together which, combined with an iPad based app, enabled employees across locations to watch live presentations and take part in quizzes, polls and ask questions. Audio lines were also open for the satellite event hosts to converse with the presenters in the hub.

Unite described the event as a "milestone" for its business and said Live Union created an "innovative technical solution that created amazing value for our employees and achieved our objectives".
