One of the toughest categories to judge, the title of Agency of the Year was hotly contested. However, it was clear to judges that 2013 was quite a year for drp. The agency reported a net profit of £1.8m in 2013 and a 58% increase in turnover to £16m.
It added 23 new clients to the books, including Jaguar Land Rover, Amazon and JCB, and transformed a derelict, former Spitfire munitions and engines facility into a state-of-the-art communications and production complex. A launch event for the agency's new HQ resulted in £278,000 of new revenue due to client attendance.
The agency invests heavily in its workforce, is a Gold Standard Investor in People and has a strong employee retention rate. Engaging employees is key to the agency's success and it holds two annual events bringing the entire company together.
The agency also picked up the Grocery, Drinks & Household Event of the Year award for Sainsbury's Our Conference, as well as Automotive Event of the Year for JCB Global Dealer Event.
