Iconic British institution the Post Office is overhauling its brand in 2014 to position itself as a modern, customer-centric company.
As part of the plans, the brand's chief marketing officer, Pete Markey, has said that its events are set to increase in number as it ramps up its communications both internally and externally.
Talking to C&IT, Simon Philips, senior communciations manager of the Post Office, said: "We are on a journey, with the Government, to transform the Post Office and to turn a profit by 2020. The aim is to change people’s perception of the brand as an old-fashioned, outdated organisation into something that is very modern and customer-centric. It is about being accessible and offering best value."
In July, the Post Office worked with agency Live Union to deliver 'Team Talk Live', an event for 600 UK staff. Live Union was appointed to the company's events roster at the end of 2013, alongside Five Hats International, Unspun and WrightObara.
