In front of an audience of 300 HBAA members at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole on 4 September, Prestige Apartment Services also picked up an accolade for 'Accommodation of the Year'.

HBAA 'Venue Sector Account Manager of the Year' was presented to Michael Hodgkinson of Menzies Hotels, who was commended for his for his creativity, candour and exceptional people skills. 

The ceremony was presented by the trade association’s chair Chris Parnham and executive director Juliet Price.

Parnham said: "Congratulations to all of our winners and of course those who were shortlisted. These awards really do recognise the dedication and vigour that we have in raising levels of professionalism in the association and wider sector. Our theme for the Forum this year has been Fast Forward Thinking; these attributes were demonstrated by all of our winners."

C&IT caught up with Chris Parnham at the HBAA forum for a 60-second interview as he approaches the final six months of his tenure.
