In accounts filed to Companies House, event management company The Turner Agency has reported an operating profit of £572,218 for the financial year ending 31 March 2014 – a 70% increase year-on-year.

Turnover also rose by 52% from £4.8m to £7.3m in the same period.

The Turner Agency's managing director John Lee told C&IT: "A key factor was a company day we held last summer where all colleagues were involved in resetting the company vision of delivering outstanding events and exceeding the expectations of our clients, partners and ourselves.

"Through the buy-in and enthusiasm this generated across the whole team we’ve built on our established client relationships through continued excellence of service and pursued new business opportunities with enhanced confidence and with greater levels of success. New clients have been added, too."

Lee continued: "This year we are continuing to develop the outputs from that day including providing greater diversity in our service offering, broadening our client base and working on our global reach."

The Turner Agency will be re-launching its website in October.

The agency was ranked at number 24 in C&IT's 2014 Top 50 UK agencies table, based on its 2013 UK event-based turnover.
