Capita Travel and Events appoints new director

Steve Wilson has joined Capita Travel and Events in the newly created role of director of customer relations, following an 18-year stint at Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT).

Wilson, who spent the last 18 years working in CWT's international management department, will be responsible for the agency’s corporate and public sector account management team and customer relationships.

"My focus will be to lead talented account management teams that are positioned as trusted advisors to customers, so that we continue to secure high customer retention and growth levels," said Wilson.

Paul Boyle, chief executive officer, Capita Travel and Events, added: "Steve’s expertise in international account management is supported by experience in operations and travel programme management, making him the ideal person to help us progress our account management teams.

"We’re delighted he has agreed to join our growing multi-specialist business."

Last week (14 August), C&IT broke the news that Capita Travel and Events' director of meetings and events Anita Lowe is to leave officially leave the agency at the end of September.
