Business from the IT, retail, FMCG and pharmaceutical sectors has helped to boost business at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest, which reported a 29% increase in bookings in Q1 when compared to the previous quarter.

The venue has delivered 76 events in 2014 so far with a further 120 events set to take place by the end of the year. It said the majority of business is coming from London, Manchester and Birmingham.

Daniel Whittemore, head of corporate sales, Center Parcs Conferences and Events, said: "The team at Sherwood are generating some amazing Venue Verdict scores and high standards of service leading to referrals and repeat business."

Last month (July), Center Parcs made three new appointments to the events team at its new Woburn Forest 'village'.
