England football HQ Wembley Stadium hosted C&IT's Agency Forum last week (6-8 August), which included keynote presentations, workshops, one-to-one meetings, a tour of the England team changing rooms and a gala dinner.
Wembley Stadium in February signed a six-year partnership deal with EE in a bid to make the stadium one of the most technologically advanced venues in the world.
The partnership sees a multi-million pound investment in the stadium’s technology facilities including enhanced 4G, superfast wi-fi, and the launch of a free app that will offer a feed of event content and information.
The heightened technology and connectivity will be made available to the stadium’s meeting spaces, which can facilitate a range of events including conferences, gala dinners, product launches and award ceremonies.
The accommodation offer around the stadium includes the Hilton London Wembley, which opened in 2012, and Accor hotel group's Novotel Wembley, which opened in April this year. The Novotel will include 235 rooms, as well as 12 serviced apartments, two meeting spaces and a fitness centre.
