Newton, who left Grass Roots last November to set up ARNi Consulting, a consultancy business focusing on strategic meetings management, has today launched Newton Squared, a network of nine consultants, primarily focused on the events industry.

The network comprises professionals in the areas of events, marketing, media and IT who will offer advice on events ranging from due diligence, strategy, marketing and communications, travel logistics and training.

The network includes marketing and communications consultant Toby Heelis, who previously worked at The Brewery, and Ciro Palomba, who is a consultant on logistics and supply chain management.

Newton told C&IT: "When I set up ARNi Consulting, I did not feel comfortable offering expertise in the areas of marketing or IT, for example, so I started to refer business to other consultants.

"This has led to Newton Squared, which is formed of like-minded consultants offering expertise in a broad range of disciplines. Each consultant has worked in their respective industry at a senior level for more than 15 years.

"The events industry is the main focus for the network – however, we can offer advice outside of the events industry."
