Leading Hotels of the World invited agencies including Zibrant and ATPI to the London Story Weekend on Saturday (26 July), which involved a tour of the company's properties, with a twist. Attendees were separated into six teams and were equipped with iPads that would guide the group from hotel to hotel with a series of unusual challenges in between.
Participating hotels included Hotel Café Royal, The Langham, The Landmark London, The Milestone, Browns Hotel and the Baglioni Hotel London.
On Wednesday (30 July), Ashfield Meetings & Events hosted its annual staff event, The Lab, which saw the agency deliver a range of educational content on the latest event technologies and integrating healthcare and medical communications into events.
More than 150 of the agency's staff were in attendance, as well as more than 35 suppliers who were there to learn about future strategies and brand development.
British brand Laura Ashley opened its second luxury property this week with The Belsfield Lake District. Situated on the shores of Lake Windermere, the hotel includes 62 rooms, with 25 lake-facing rooms, and six conference rooms with free wi-fi.
