Keenan joins pharmaceutical meetings specialist Ashfield Meetings & Events as a project executive after graduating with a first class honours degree in Events Management this week.

Luke Flett, head of sales and marketing at Ashfield Meetings & Events, said: "We have worked hard to develop strong working relationships with academic institutions offering event management courses over the years as education, training and continued professional development is very important to our organisation.

"We are delighted that we are able to recognise talented graduates such as Laura who has clearly excelled in her degree. We are even more delighted that she will be taking up a position with our agency as we have no doubt she will be a tremendous asset to both our business and the sector."

Keenan added: "Now that I have finished university, I am really looking forward to immersing myself in the industry. I am very eager to be thrown in at the deep end and gain first-hand experience of the event world.

"I am absolutely thrilled that Ashfield Meetings & Events have offered me an opportunity to begin my career and am looking forward to challenges that lie ahead."

Earlier this month, Ashfield Meetings & Events announced that its parent company UDG Healthcare acquired KnowledgePoint360 Group to bolster its services for the healthcare meetings market.
