Optimism. That single word unites each of the six sectors covered in C&IT’s annual Brand Book. While the degree of optimism certainly varies from sector to sector, the industry is enjoying an upturn and as the economy picks up, internal conferences, training programmes and business events are all on the rise. Even incentives, once the most demonised of all events, are enjoying a renaissance.

Each of the chapters in this book offer an overview of the top sectors dominating the industry and this year, automotive takes pole position. Pistonheads and their brand managers can delight at the state of the sector as it enjoys an upturn in fortunes.

The pharmaceutical industry continues to be tempered by an increasingly regulated environment. Similarly, new legislation within the financial sector also raises a question mark over event spend and while the fuller impact of the new regulations remains to be seen, event professionals predict a bumpy ride for the next 12 months. Discover what lies in store for the constantly evolving IT and telecoms industry and find out why retail and food-and-drink experts forecast a positive year ahead.

Whatever sector you specialise in, we hope you can find inspiration in the work of the ?100-plus brands that are covered in this year’s Brand Book. And if you want to shout about your work, contact us and be part of our digital platform at citmagazine.com/brand-book.
