Worldspan Group's chairman and commercial director Jason Wilcock attributed the growth to new clients in the IT and association sector, as well as an increase in business from existing clients.

The figures are for the 12-month period to 30 June 2014. The agency is still in the process of closing projects in this period. Audited accounts will be released in November.

This follows Worldspan's appointment of five new members of staff, including CI Events' Robert Bailey and Tourism's Australia's Liz Stanhope

Wilcock told C&IT: "Once again, our team has excelled in delivering at the highest level. We’ve had an incredibly strong start to our new financial year and expect to exceed a gross profit of £2m within this current year."
