C&IT’s annual Brand Book, published this month and featuring 100 brands and their event strategies, reveals that although growth has continued following a successful 2012, as the market grows the pace of events increases, shortening lead times and stretching budgets.
Melissa White, head of experiential marketing at Sony Mobile says that although this has been a challenge, it has also presented several opportunities: "Lead times within the IT and telecoms industry are the most challenging of all sectors, Budgets get smaller and are squeezed so we need to be more creative."
Because audiences within the sector are so well positioned when it comes to the latest technology, pressure is put on event planners to deliver events that are both engaging and imaginative.
Are you interested in attending C&IT's Brand Book Live event on Monday 24th November at London's new Mondrian hotel.
The event will offer an evening of networking and an opportunity to share event marketing strategies, trends and experiences across each of the six key industry sectors over a drinks reception and dinner.
Corporate and agency event planners interested in attending the roundtables at Brand Book Live should call Celia Miranda on 0208 267 4919 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and specify which sector roundtable is most relevant.
