Lyon: water-themed options for groups

Boat trips to suit different group sizes and and a former oil tanker are just some of the options for a water-themed event or incentive in Lyon.

L'Embarcadere: this space, formerly used for barge renovations, can host events for between 20 to 550 and can also be hired on an exclusive basis for 450 for lunch or dinner and 550 for cocktails and evening gatherings. Built on the banks of the Saone in the early 20th century, the site offers uninterrupted views over the river.

Le Platforme: moored on the banks of the Rhone, Le Platforme is a former oil tanker converted into an events venue, with a total floorspace of 600 sqm and a 700-person capacity. The venue caters for a variety of settings, including the front deck which can be transformed into a private terrace.

Boat trips: Lyon's boat operators organise tailored boat trips for groups of between 2 to 900, split into three boats, with various catering options available. Other options include Le Natalys, which can hold around 80 passengers on the top deck and the terrace, offering a panoramic view. For a more VIP experience, groups can rent Le Yacht, a luxury boat for up to eight people, which sails up and down the the Rhone and Saone rivers. With Cap Confluent, groups can sail boats with a capacity of up to seven.
