Hyde left his previous position as general manager of the Barbican in February to set up his own consultancy after 13 years at the venue.

Also on the board is Middle Temple’s Lorrain Butler, who continues her role as events chair.

On retaining her position as chair of London City Selection, Waldron said: "We are delighted to have such a strong team on the board of London City Selection and I look forward to implementing our exciting plans for the forthcoming year and continuing the success of our annual fam trip."

New to the London City Selection board for this year is Robert Harris, from The London Stock exchange, who takes over the role of website chair, as well as the Museum of London’s Robert Wetherell as membership chair.
