MPI reveals 2014/15 international executive board

Meeting Professionals International (MPI) has announced its international executive board for 2014/15 with Positive Impact's Fiona Pelham becoming the association's first British chair-elect.

Pelham, who is the managing director of Positive Impact Events, was announced as a candidate for the role of chair-elect on MPI’s international executive board for 2014/15 in March.

In May, C&IT shone the spotlight on Pelham to find out what the new role will entail and why she is so excited to get started.

Also revealed on MPI’s international executive board is Kevin Kirby, principal, The Kirby Consulting Group, who will take over the role of chairman having volunteered on the association’s international committees since 2000.

On his new role, Kirby said: "As chairman of the board, I will continue the great work accomplished by the respected chairs before me and ensure we’re crafting a community we can all proudly call our own.

"Our core focus will remain on enhancing our membership experience, as well as expanding our portfolio of professional development and marketplace opportunities."

Kirby has previously held leadership positions with Hard Rock International, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and Universal Orlando.

Yesterday (1 June), MPI UK& Ireland revealed its board of directors for 2014/15, with IMEX Group's Miguel Neves remaining as president and Zibrant's Richard Parker becoming president elect.
