The bursary will allow five delegates to attend future World Obesity Federation educational events.
Chris Trimmer, executive director of World Obesity, said: "We’re delighted to be the first organisation to receive this award. It’s a tremendous initiative and means we can bring more people to our events that would not normally have the chance."
The award was launched by the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre last month to acknowledge association meetings that make significant impacts on their own professional community, as well as the wider public.
SECC sales director, Kathleen Warden, added: "The Associates initiative is about rewarding great events that make an impact on the professions they serve.
"World Obesity stages brilliant events that demonstrate the organisation’s passion and commitment to its subject."
