The five-star hotel, which features 184 rooms including four suites and one apartment, joins Mövenpick’s Tangier property with the new Mövenpick Hotel Marrakesh expected to open in early 2015, taking its total to three hotels in the region.

The chain’s latest property also includes a ballroom, conference hall and four meeting rooms for banquets, conferences and business meetings for up to 400 people.

Earlier this month, Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts hosted its 2nd annual MICE Summit in Sousse, Tunisia, which was attended more than 80 delegates from around the globe.

VP of international sales at Mövenpick Hotels Francis Bertrand spoke about the company’s latest properties and what the up-and-coming C&I destinations will be in 2014.
