Marriott opens new property in Siberia

Marriott Hotels has opened the new Novosibirsk Marriott Hotel in Western Siberia, the hotel chain's second property in the region and its 15th in Russia.

Located in Lenin Square opposite Novosibirsk’s Opera House, the 175-room hotel includes a complimentary executive lounge, two restaurants and a rooftop bar overlooking the city.

The hotel also features six meeting rooms, with 480sqm of event space, accommodating more than 450 people in total.

Marriott International is set to open a further five new hotels in Russia, including the Moscow Marriott Hotel Novy Arbat, which opens this month. The hotel chain revealed Eastern Europe to be its fastest growing market in 2013.

Last week, Marriott International revelaed that it will add 200 luxury hotels to its global portfolio by 2017 with an £8.9bn investment.This will include a new Moxy hotel in London and an Edition hotel in New York's Times Square.
