The event space will include a 1,100-capacity auditorium, which, with its ‘skylight’ concept that includes energy-efficient lighting and heat exchange systems, is set to be the greenest conference and events facility in London.

Head of hospitality at Friends House, Paul Grey, shared the latest developments and updates on the new venue, which is set to be completed in October this year.

"We’re delighted to have been able to share The Light and preview it to so many people yesterday.

"There is a lot of excitement around this venue and it has been a huge undertaking, but only when you see The Light in person do you really appreciate its flexibility and uniqueness for meetings and events."
