Samsung

Samsung Electronics has invited a selection of technology providers, CTOs, MDs and business development professionals to its Future Technology Needs event, which takes place today (16 June). The all-day event will give Samsung’s technology scouting team the chance to meet with technology providers to discuss and sample new innovations that will service the brand’s future technology needs.

PwC

On Friday (20 June), one of the world’s largest professional services network, Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC) will host an exclusive workshop on how to retain staff in high-growth startups. The workshop will discuss how to motivate and reward staff and what incentive options are available to assist this.

Other brands taking part in London Technology Week include Microsoft and Google, who will deliver workshops on the latest smartphone apps for businesses, while co-founder of Bebo, Michael Birch, will today deliver the keynote speech on the future of social media.

Mayor of London Boris Johnson said: "Tech Week is a superb opportunity to hail the success of London’s tech sector, which despite only being in adolescence already makes a tremendous contribution to our economy and is outperforming our rivals around the globe.

"We forecast that they will generate a whopping £12bn of economic activity and 46,000 new jobs in the capital over the next decade."
