Halliwell has been named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) for her services to business tourism.

During her seven years at London & Partners and before that, Visit London, Tracy has led the capital’s drive to attract business, cultural and sporting events to London.

Halliwell also led the teams responsible for delivering the Mayor’s hospitality programmes for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games and coordinated the Olympic hospitality strategies for the National Olympic Committee, the National Paralympic Committee as well as key sponsor and sporting bodies.

Halliwell said: "I’m absolutely thrilled to have been named MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours this year. It was completely unexpected and it’s certainly going to take a long time to get used to having MBE at the end of my name!

"This recognition is testament to the dedication and enthusiasm of my team at London & Partners. I’m incredibly proud of our achievements and continued success in delivering fantastic events for what I truly believe is the best big city on earth."

Before joining London & Partners, Halliwell worked in senior positions within the tourism industry, including vice-president of sales EMEA for Millennium and Copthorne Hotels, group sales director for Thistle Hotels and senior vice-president of sales and marketing North America for Le Meridien Hotels and Resorts.
