At the event Liz Rice, Meetings Professionals International (MPI) UK and Ireland chapter's vice-president of certification, will provide information for event planners on the Convention Industry Council's (CIC) internationally recognised Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) exam.

The event will go through past MPI activity, and future boot camp events, to help those applying to compile past credits and gain future credits.

MPI is to host a certification boot camp over two days in September, which will include interactive sessions, case studies and examples of best practice from industry leaders.

The event will cover all ten domains of the CMP examination and allow attendees to gain up to ten credits.

Rice said: "The CMP offers the industry an internationally recognised benchmark. MPI has gained strong interest from leading corporate and agency buyers to spearhead the education and qualification process in the UK.

"This session will cover the how-to of applying and also give attendees an insight into the content and structure of the MPI boot camps later this year."
