Singapore has remained at the top of the list with 994 meetings, followed by Brussels with 436 and Vienna with 318.

Busan in South Korea entered the top ten for the first time, while Copenhagen dropped out. Paris slipped out of the top five, which is surprising as Paris knocked Vienna off the top spot for the first time since 2005 in ICCA's annual city rankings, released last month.

London remained in the UIA's top ten for the second year, which can be attributed to its success in delivering the Olympics in 2012.

The association meetings industry has remained robust, with the number of international association meetings rising 4% to 408,798 since last year.

The Union of International Associations (UIA) 2013 International Meetings Statistics Report surveyed 364,929 associations from 254 countries.
