A rooftop 'pool with a view' and stylish Hi-SO rooftop bar are highlights of the 134-room Sofitel SO Singapore hotel, which opened at the heart of the city's business district at the weekend.

Also within easy walking distance of Singapore's Chinatown, the five-star property is housed in an iconic building with neo-classical façade and boasts an interior designed by style gurus Karl Lagerfeld and Isabelle Miaja.

There is a restaurant serving international cuisine and two bars, one available for private hire with a capacity of 80 for a reception.

Bedrooms, including nine suites, offer free wi-fi, complimentary bar and iPad Minis.

Sofitel SO Singapore follows hot on the heels of the French hotel group's latest new opening, Sofitel Downtown Dubai.
