The new iBeacon app will allow delegates with smartphones and tablets to detect specific beacons placed around the venue, thus allowing them to interact with people and objects around them.
The objective of the app is to greatly increase the potential for personalised messaging to participants at an event.
Other technology that will be showcased at the Meet the Future event includes the latest in interactive 3D holographic projection technology, which will be presented by author and TV star Dr Redmond, and Musion, world leaders in holographic technology.
Maria Schuett, marketing manager at Central Hall Westminster and conference producer, said: "We have some truly groundbreaking technology and content lined up for this event.
"From Google Glass and futurologists to iBeacons and holographic displays, this is set to be an experience not to be missed by event planners looking to find out what the future has in store for their industry."
Sli.do will also demonstrate the first Google Glass app for event moderators, which, according to George P Johnson’s Gareth Dimelow, will be an empowering addition to event technology.
