The restoration project will give the venue new facilities for meetings and events, as well as a new reception area.

The Guild of Students’ ground floor will include two large meeting spaces, with The Courtyard hosting 250 delegates, banquet-style and The Mountford Hall hosting 800 theatre-style, as well as an additional 100 on the balcony.

On the first floor there will be seven additional exhibition and meeting spaces, with capacity ranging from 20 to 300 delegates.

Fiona Bebbington, sales and conference manager at the University of Liverpool said: "We are looking forward to the Guild of Students re-opening this summer and being able to offer this unique venue to our clients.

"The Guild is a flexible venue which can accommodate big numbers, making it ideal for association conferences or high-profile events."
