Starring in C&IT's A List 2014 is Duncan Miller, 29, director of business development at George P. Johnson.

Duncan began working in television with MTV and then went onto XFM. He worked for a number of agencies as an account manager before joining George P. Johnson in August 2011 and will now be moving to GPJ's San Francisco office.

Boss says: "Duncan has a genuine passion for technology and live events," says Kevin Jackson, vice president, sales and marketing. "He helps clients understand the power of events and the ever-important role they play in society."

Best event I've worked on: The Reading Festival we did in Trafalgar Square last August. We had 8,000 people in the square with celebrities including Hugh Grant and Warwick Davies reading for London kids.

Most challenging moment: Shifting the perception about George P. Johnson being an agency that predominantly works within B2B has been a challenge.

Client I'd like to work with: ESPN - they are a pre-eminent sports network provider and I'd love to help them grasp the sports-mad UK demographic.

Alternative career: I'm fascinated with the commercial side of sport and I'd like to be a boxing promoter.

Goals before 40: To keep having challenges that excite me.
