The 237-room property will remain a Marriott-branded hotel throughout the duration of its existing, long-term management agreement despite the lease being sold by its current owner, Strategic Hotels & Resorts.

In the first three months of 2014 more than £525m has been spent on London hotels, including the Marriott’s London Edition, which was sold for £150m and the Chelsea Harbour Hotel, which was sold for £65m.
