The Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games will offer three compact site clusters for competition venues within the city, which includes 14 venues, plus the Athletes' Village.

Venues include the Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre (SECC) Precinct, SSE Hydro, Hampden Park, Scotstoun Sports Campus, Strathclyde Country Park, Tollcross International Swimming Centre, Celtic Park, Cathkin Braes Mountain Bike Trails, Ibrox Stadium and Emirates Arena, which includes the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.

The Games will provide a significant boost to tourism in Glasgow, according to a new survey. Of almost 10,000 spectators surveyed, a fifth (20%) of people attending the Games have never been to Glasgow, while over half (54%) of ticket-holders admit to knowing little to nothing about the host city.
