Easyjet will fly to Brussels, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Jersey, Newcastle and Strasbourg from London Gatwick airport as of 30 March.

More than 800,000 passengers are expected to use the five new services annually, increasing the number of Easyjet passengers by 5%.

The airline has also increased the service between London Gatwick and Inverness, with two return fights operating daily.

Hugh Aitken, Easyjet’s UK commercial manager, said: "By adding key European cities like Brussels, Paris and Strasbourg, Easyjet can ensure that business travellers using London Gatwick have convenient and affordable links to key cities.

"The addition of Newcastle and Inverness will also ensure that the UK remains well connected."

Easyjet now fly to a total of 108 destinations, with 2.3 million business passengers travelling with the airline from London Gatwick in 2013.
