Phone lines for event bookings opened last Monday – has it been a busy week?
Absolutely. We've had an amazing week, enquiries have been flying in and we have lots of event reservations on the books already.

How many people do you have in your events team?
We have five in our team: Eunice Goh, Charlotte Brown, Briony Hemmings, Rebecca Barton and myself. I feel blessed to have such an experience and enthusiastic team and we have bonded well together, which is so important, especially during these busy times!

Do you have many bookings in place already?
Oh yes...

What date is the first event planned for?
Very excitingly, our first external event is on Thursday 8 May. The event includes exclusive use of our entire events space on level 34. The company enquired last October and we're extremely happy that we were able to secure the exact date they requested originally back in 2013.

We hosted a hard hat tour for them last week and they absolutely loved the space, I was so pleased.
The next stage in our planning for this group is welcoming them back to host their menu tasting. I'm looking forward to it just as much as they are!

What kind of events are being booked?
A wide variety - everything from intimate meetings for 10 guests to award ceremonies for 100, as well as charity events, weddings, you name it.

Do you expect corporate bookings to account for a larger percentage of total events?
I do, yes. Corporate enquires have contributed 60% of our total enquiries on average to date.

For groups looking to stay, what will be the optimum size?
We will have 202 bedrooms and we're looking at an average group size of 60 guests staying overnight. Although anything above that will be possible too, subject to availability of course.
