Accor has recently opened the 338-room Pullman Shanghai South, which includes 11 meeting rooms, the largest of which has capacity for 1,200 people, as well as four bars and restaurants.
Recent additions also include the Pullman Kuala Lumpur Bangsaw in Malaysia, and the Pullman Saigon Centre and Pullman Danang Beach Resort, both in Vietnam.
The hotel chain will add a further 47 new hotels to its existing 32 properties in Asia by 2018, with the 2013 UNWTO World Tourism Barometer showing that tourist arrivals in South-East, North-East and Southern Asia will grow by approximately 7% over the next few years.
Michael Issenberg, CEO of HotelServices Asia-Pacific, said: "Expansion in Asia Pacific is a priority for Pullman.
"We plan to open 47 new hotels over the next four years to reach more than 90 hotels in the region. Our expansion focuses on key tourist destinations and strategic business hubs."
In 2013 Pullman was awarded the contract to build a new £26m hotel on the site of ACC Liverpool’s upcoming Exhibition Centre Liverpool, which is due to open in Spring 2015.
