What’s the lowdown?

Brandfuel is a creative agency that delivers events, design and digital work for major corporate brands including Google, Twitter and Uefa. It was set up in 2005 and today employs 30 staff in Islington, London.

Why shine the light?

Turnover in 2013 exceeded £9m and staff numbers grew by 20%, which included the appointment of Bentley Motors' Geoff Iredale.

‘Fuellers’ is the name given to staff that collectively run 6,500km a year and cycle 300km on average per week. Stepping outside of your comfort zone is a concept that was placed at the heart of the agency two years ago by CEO David Ball.

Flagship event

Brandfuel delivered One Young World in Johnannesburg in October 2013. The fourth summit brought together more than 1,300 delegates, mostly under the age of 25, from 183 countries. Some 87% of delegates rated the Summit overall as excellent or very good. Delegate participation has grown from 800 to 1,300. This 60% increase has been made possible by increased sponsorship from businesses and other organisations.

Client work

Brandfuel’s client lists includes Google, Huawei, Uefa, Twitter and You Tube.

Future plans

Brandfuel is looking to develop a number of new business streams focused on training and helping young people attain their potential. For example, a not-for-profit student skills ‘dating’ service that connects university students with prospective corporate employees, providing opportunities for project work, earning and work experience.
