A taste of Scotland

Whisky, also known as the 'Water of Life', is set to be the tipple of choice in London next week, when VisitScotland and its partners head to International Confex.

The national tourism organisation’s Business Tourism Unit (BTU) will be joined by seven Scottish partners, showcasing the very best the country has to offer in 2014, including the Year of Homecoming, the Glasgow Commonwealth Games and The Ryder Cup at Gleneagles.  

VisitScotland will be joined by Edinburgh International Conference Centre, Glasgow City Marketing Bureau, Glasgow Science Centre, Scottish Exhibition and Conference Centre, (Glasgow), The Dome (Edinburgh), The Royal Highland Centre (Edinburgh) and AmaZing Venues.They will all showcase the very best of the Scottish meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibition product.  

Oyster tasting from the Oyster Boys and The Famous Grouse’s ‘Roving Drammolier’ whisky-tasting service will be available.  

Mihri Miralem from the VisitScotland BTU said: "With plenty of new Scottish MICE developments and more than 700 Homecoming events taking place this year, we are offering people the chance to discover the inspiring destination that is Scotland."
