Hong Kong Tourism Board hosts C&I buyers at hotelier event

Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB) invited C&I buyers for the first time to its annual Contact and Contract event, held earlier this week at The Grosvenor Hotel in London.

The one day event is aimed at product and contracting managers from UK tour operators , giving them the opportunity to meet with Hong Kong hotels for pre-scheduled private appointments.

Anthony Lau, executive director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, attended this year’s event alongside Victor Chan, chairman of Hong Kong Hotels Association.

Dawn Page, ‎Director, UK & Northern Europe for Hong Kong Tourism Board, commented: "The UK trade plays an essential role in supporting and promoting hotels in Hong Kong. Last year we saw encouraging results from the UK market, with just over half a million UK visitors arriving in Hong Kong. By fostering long-lasting relationships between the UK trade and Hong Kong hotel industry at events like Contact and Contract, we hope this growth can continue throughout 2014."

The Hong Kong Tourism Board welcomed three new hotels to this year’s event. The OZO Wesley, the Mira Moon hotel and the Hotel Sav, which is due to open later this year.
