Estrel Tower, which will be built adjacent to Berlin's Estrel Hotel, will feature 814 rooms on 46 floors and at 175m will be the tallest non-technical structure in Germany.
The new event space will accompany the existing convention centre and will include a usable area of 8,500sqm accommodating 4,200 visitors.
Construction is expected to begin sometime between autumn this year and early 2015 and is expected to be completed within two years.
Estrel Berlin is currently Europe's largest convention, enterainment and hotel complex with the existing Estrel Hotel featuring 1,125 rooms.
C&IT revelaed today that Berlin’s Brandenburg International Airport won't open until 2016 at the earliest following a string of setbacks.
