Quadrant Events will run Network Rail's annual roadshow for up to 10,000 staff when its new CEO Mark Carne takes the helm in April.

The roadshow is an annual event that aims to update employees on the business.

Rebecca Harmer, marketing services specialist of Network Rail, said: "We appointed Quadrant Events for the 'Business Briefings' because they showed a real understanding of the company and the event requirements.

"They also provided a fresh approach and creative ideas, with audience engagement solutions such as allowing guests to vote on already submitted questions and comments prior to the events taking place, which will allow us to tailor speaker content more effectively and answer the questions people really want to know."

Hazel Burns, head of Event Production at Quadrant, said: "For us, this is the culmination of five years working in partnership with Network Rail delivering their AGM, conferences throughout various business units, awards shows and more unusual services including installing a 6m high Poppy into Kings Cross Station.

"We provided Network Rail with a complete solution for the briefings, including a delegate management system, on-site audience engagement tools, the full event and technical management."

In September, Network Rail appointed four agencies to its events roster, worth £4.5m.
