Waldorf Astoria opens Beijing hotel

Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, an offshoot of Hilton Worldwide, has today opened a new hotel in Beijing.

The Waldorf Astoria Beijing features 176 rooms, three restaurants and 800sqm of event space.

John Vanderslice, global head, luxury and lifestyle brands, Hilton Worldwide, said: "Since its inception, the Waldorf Astoria brand continues to expand with landmark openings in prestigious destinations around the world.

"Today, we are proud to introduce True Waldorf Service in China's capital city with the opening of Waldorf Astoria Beijing and are confident that this hotel will offer guests unforgettable experiences."

The opening marks the hotel chain’s second property in China following the Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund.
