The newly built, 259-room hotel is located in the city’s Old Town district, with nearby attractions including Edinburgh Castle and the National Museum of Scotland.

Thomas Dubaere, chief operating officer for Ibis parent brand Accor UK & Ireland, said: "Edinburgh is one of Europe’s most popular tourist destinations, attracting visitors from across the globe and this is the first of three hotels which we will open in the city this year."

Last week, Ibis unveiled its first north-west based Ibis Styles hotel – in Liverpool, situated only a few minutes’ walk from ACC Liverpool.
