The 211-room hotel is expected to open in early 2015 in Shoreditch Village, a new 14,000-square-metre, mixed-use area.

The hotel will be the sixth boutique property to open in the Shoreditch area – others include the Hoxton Hotel, Ace Hotel and Boundary Hotel.

Robin Chadha, CMO of CitizenM, said: "Shoreditch Village is one of the capital’s most exciting developments and CitizenM is delighted to be a part of it.

"We are a contemporary hotel brand offering affordable luxury and we are looking forward to welcoming the local Shoreditch community to the hotel when we open next year."
