The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has today opened the long awaited Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto hotel, the group's fourth property in Japan.

Situated in Kyoto city centre, the 134-room hotel offers a ballroom and three meeting rooms suitable for receptions, meetings, exhibitions and seminars.

The property features a Japanese and an Italian restaurant, as well as a range of Pierre Herme Paris’, creator of Haute Patisserie, signature desserts, which guests can showcase during their meetings and corporate events.

President and CEO of Ritz-Carlton Herme Humler said: "We are honoured to open our fourth Ritz-Carlton in Japan, in the beautiful city of Kyoto.

"Our customers are always looking to explore evocative, new and inspiring destinations and have long expressed a desire for us to open in this incredible location"

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company has recently opened a series of new properties in Asia, including its 10th hotel in China and new resorts in Kazakhstan and India. The hotel group predicts that its portfolio will hit 100 properties worldwide by 2016.
